Quincy Cochrane smiles with scholarship founder Janice MacNeill ('76) at the Halifax Holiday Reception

Attending Acadia was a stretch, and receiving the award helped set me on the path where I am today. It gave me support and allowed me to be more involved on campus without the burden that comes with financial stress.鈥

The Student Centre is more than a building. We all want to set students up for success and see this project go ahead. It鈥檚 an opportunity to visually create a sense of belonging and a healthy and safe gathering, learning, and workplace for all. It will bring students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines 鈥 and the community 鈥 back together on campus.

When Dr. Bob Lucas (鈥68, 鈥69) decided to establish a bursary to support nursing students at Acadia, he had two things on his mind: a strong desire to help students through worrisome academic experiences; and something called 鈥楾he Eleemosynary Fund鈥.

Taya Lucas-Desmond, a fourth-year environmental science student at 澳门六合彩资料, has been named the inaugural recipient of the Tory-Bagnall and MacDonald Bursary. Cairine (Tory) and Bernie MacDonald established the $10,000 annual bursary to honour their family's commitment to education and to enable students from the Maritimes to aspire to university.

澳门六合彩资料 proudly announces the creation of the Tory-Bagnall and MacDonald Bursary, established through the generosity of Cairine and Bernie MacDonald. First awarded in 2024, the bursary is focused on supporting female and Black students achieve their educational dreams.
